Diane Knott always wanted to be an artist from her earliest memories. She was never bored as a child as long as she had paper and crayons or fabrics, thread and a needle. Today she considers herself blessed to be following her dreams as a designer and artist of licensed products.

Diane lives in the countryside of northern Pennsylvania with husband, George. They are the parents of two grown daughters, Holly and Danielle. Home is a small "cottage" on a hillside overlooking hills and valleys where they can see the sun rise and set and the weather approaching from miles in the distance. It's the setting for much of the inspiring images Diane uses in her art.

Besides being a prolific painter, Diane is a needleworker and quilter who has plied needle and thread both by hand and machine since she was 10 years old. That she today designs fabrics for Clothworks is probably one of the things that delights her the most about her career in art. Working with fabric is something that she has always held close to her heart.

When asked about her work, Diane responds that she hopes her images will make people's eyes happy; that her pictures will take them to a place of memory inside their own experiences that made them feel happy, contented and serene. "My art", she says, "is from my heart with the hope that it touches other hearts. I've been so blessed to be given this talent that I can't imagine not sharing it. It's been a gift that has sustained me all my life for which I'm so grateful to God and my husband and daughters for always encouraging me and being happy for my success."
